On the other hand, we can supply you with the multifunctional Uni-Truck multi-purpose vehicle, which can be equipped with a variety of attachments for a wide range of jobs to suit your needs.
However, our quality feature is not versatility alone. Our “Made in Germany” products, which have been manufactured with great passion and technical sophistication since 1987, set standards in the industry. In addition to their technical skills, our long-standing employees also contribute their practical knowledge to the manufacture of our machines. This ensures that our tools always fulfil our customers’ requirements.
But how can a customer actually determine which machine, or which model with which features, will fulfil their individual needs? After all, it can be difficult to choose the ideal solution given the individual areas of application. Expert advice is essential here – and you can get it directly and personally from us. Our success is based, among other things, on our ability to understand what our customers really need. We also know from experience that only professional and transparent advice, followed by a demonstration, provides certainty! The demonstration directly on site in particular shows whether the performance promise actually holds true.
To illustrate this, we have created the series “GRÜNIG industrial machines in practice”. In it, we describe real case studies that show how our customers were able to make the most appropriate, efficient and sustainable decision thanks to GRÜNIG’s professionalism and quality.
Case study – 1st part
The initial situation
A customer – specialising in the sale of products for the agricultural sector, the beverage trade, gardening and DIY supplies and the operation of petrol stations and shops – required a sweeper for outdoor areas and storage areas for three locations in different municipalities, each of which has its own forklift truck.
The customer had already been offered a self-propelled vacuum sweeper by a competitor, which was to be used to clean three locations. Basically a weekly cleaning tour, for which a road licence is required in addition to an employee. However, it was not clarified exactly how high the sweeping requirements are at the individual locations.
The customer then contacted us. At GRÜNIG, we first of all listened carefully and asked questions so that we could understand the customer’s concerns properly and, on this basis, provide them with the best possible advice and an optimised offer.
Our recommendation
Due to the areas of application, the different locations and the fact that a forklift truck is already available at each site, which is ideally suited as a carrier vehicle for a mounted sweeper, we recommended three GSE model mounted sweepers to the customer. This means that each site would have its own sweeper and could use it independently of the control centre at any time. The total price of the three machines on offer was lower than the vacuum sweeper offered by the competitor.

The customer was initially a little surprised that we recommended three machines at once. He himself had assumed that one machine would be sufficient for all locations. He also expressed certain objections to mounted sweepers.
We explained that, given the current situation, it would be neither expedient nor economical to manage all sites with just one machine. This is because, on the one hand, the sweeping requirements at the individual locations can vary from day to day and, on the other hand, the employee specially trained for the vacuum sweeper would always have to be available. Apart from this, a lot of time would also be lost travelling between the locations, as they are not in close proximity to each other.
The customer agreed with us on this point, but his objections to mounted sweepers still remained. Obviously, these stemmed from a negative experience with a cheap mounted sweeper that was inadequate. He had never come into contact with GRÜNIG sweepers before. So he didn’t know what performance they could come up with.
This was also the moment to demonstrate the mounted sweeper on site.
Demonstration on site
The customer’s forklift drivers, workshop employees and budget managers took part in the demonstration. It was demonstrated how powerful and robust, how easy to handle and how impeccable the sweeping performance of our mounted sweepers is, which is in no way inferior to a ride-on vacuum sweeper. The demonstration surprised everyone in a very positive way.
The objections were completely overcome and the customer decided to purchase the three machines. He now benefits from an optimised cleaning concept that allows all locations to be swept professionally and flexibly as required. In addition, the acquisition and future operating costs have been significantly reduced.
A fourth GRÜNIG add-on sweeper is already firmly planned for another site currently under construction!
